He is a specialist of EU law (institutions, internal market), environmental law (international and domestic) and comparative law. He is an active commentator on EU legal and political issues in the areas of trade investment and sustainable development.

Ivana Damjanovic

Lecturer, University of Canberra, Australia

She is a Lecturer at the Canberra Law School. Her research is interdisciplinary, encompassing issues of law and politics in the international investment and trade regime, with particular focus on the European Union. 

Lin Goethals

Director, European Institute for Asian Studies (EIAS), Belgium

She is the Director of EIAS, a think tank and policy research centre in Brussels. Her expertise lies in EU-Asia Relations, the Indo-Pacific and public diplomacy. She is also an Associated Research Fellow of the ESSCA School of Management’s EU-Asia Institute.

Sébastien Fassiaux

Lecturer, Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Spain

His research focuses on EU law and policy, especially the EU regulation of digital technologies. He worked for two years as a lawyer in EU competition and international trade law in Brussels.

Gauthier Martens

Assistant lecturer, UCLouvain, St Louis, Belgium

He has a Master of Laws (Université libre de Bruxelles, 2022) and a Master of Science in Maritime Science (Universiteit Gent, 2023). His doctoral research concerns the extraterritorial effect of European trade law, in particular on the import of goods and commodities linked with deforestation.
